Beyond the two-day September event, the Mushroom Festival operates year-round through its Grants Program, which provides funding to local non-profit organizations in Kennett Square from festival proceeds. To date, the festival has awarded more than $1.1 million to local non-profits and supported research on the health benefits of mushrooms—research that complements our own work in providing high-quality specimens for scientific study.
